Special thanks to Glenn Livengood for that very thoughtful, lovely, and meaningful guitar arrangement - and playing! - of "Lost in the Night." (Rachel did a nice job too, of course!) I wish I had started "my" service with this. I'll be coming back. :)

I love the very Jewish idea of chastising G*d. And I love the recognition of our blindness, of our impatience, as we "wait" for God to manifest itself when we are in fact surrounded by, literally enfolded by, God's presence in us and in our lives.

Perhaps Advent has been a year long, as we patiently wait for Covid to end and pay greater attention to the gift of being with others and the many blessings in our daily lives. In years past, I don't feel like I appreciated the meaning of Advent as much as I will this Season. Thank you for that reminder and for beautiful music to heal my soul.
