Abundant Grace, Abundant Giving
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly. 2 Corinthians 9:7-8.

Ministry Initiatives
This year, we invite your gifts to help fund not only our current ministries, but also some new, exciting ministry initiatives for 2025.
Sharing God’s Abundant Grace Through
A Director of Youth and Family Ministries
Zion Lutheran Church shares abundant love for the children in our community and supports their growth through:
We believe it is time to invest resources to support and grow our ministry with our youth. In 2025, we intend to hire a part-time Director of Youth and Family Ministries. The Director of Youth & Family Ministries will be responsible for ministering to young people between the 6th and 12th grades and their families.
As our church looks to the future, we are invested in the individual growth of each young person in our care.
Sharing God’s Abundant Grace Through
Dinner Church
Jesus’ meal fellowship was a central part of his ministry – he often sat at table with others, including outcasts and disreputable people as well as his close followers. And Christ promises still to come to us and dine with us.
In 2025, Zion will launch Dinner Church – a new way of worshiping together and celebrating Christ’s presence in our community that will be held around a table, around a shared meal.
Dinner Church will be hosted monthly, on a weekday evening. All are welcome to attend. We will intentionally reach out to those in our local communities (neighbors of Zion, University of Utah students, Let Me Shine families, etc.) and encourage members to invite their church-curious friends.
While we expect good food and Christian hospitality to bring strangers together, we recognize it is the gracious presence of Jesus that will join us together as neighbors and make us one in God’s family.
