Thank you Chuck for helping us to remember and appreciate the brave servicemen and servicewomen that have helped preserve our freedom. It's too easy to forget their many sacrifices, or to not see the lasting emotional toll on the individuals or on their families. We join you in asking God to please help all our veterans prosper and find peace.

Thanks to all who contributed to this most meaningful Ascension Sunday service combined with a fitting Memorial Day recognition of those in the military who have sacrificed on our behalf.

We salute all veterans this Memorial Day and thank LTC Getting for leading us in today’s prayer to honor their memory. Thanks to all for a moving service challenging us to not long for the nostalgia of the former normal, but rather to pass through the pandemic’s portal to create a world where all will seek God’s justice, love mercy and walk humbly.

What an inspirational Memorial Day Service. I remember my father, Russell Anthony today. He flew 43 bombing missions over Germany in World War II. A decorated war hero, he passed away in 2017 at 93. I love you Dad.

Deep gratitude from my heart flows to each of you, seen and unseen, who put this worship together. And Chuck thank you for praying with spoken words and also dressing in uniform to visually remind us of all who served and serve ...and of their families.

This is the same uniform Chuck wore on the day of his retirement in 1992.

Thank you, Chuck, for your service and for leading us in prayer and remembrance. 🌺😔 Both the sermon and the children’s message give hope for the future. And it was wonderful to once again hear David’s musical rounds for Psalm 47.
