Holden Evening Prayer was originally written by Marty Haugen during the winter of 1986 while the composer was at Holden Village in the North Cascade mountains of Washington state. Join our talented musicians and readers in our special version for this season of Lent.

Individually and collectively I am VERY grateful to you for your support during Lent. I have always found Lent more meaning to me that any other Holy season and have been vocal about that in past years. I really hurt because Zion has no Lenten Soup Suppers and that is more than I can put into words. Even alone I cannot sing along and all the more I appreciate those of you who produce the fine Lenten Service! Verbal thanks is not enough, but that is all I can muster!
