Join Martha in a spiritual stretch to prepare our bodies and souls for worship today!
Begin today with Rachel's beautiful Call to Worship .
- You walk with us along the way, though we cannot see. You burn within our hearts and soothe our weary souls. You bring us healing, light, and peace, and claim us as your own. Oh, stay with us this day, and break the bread with us.
Entrance Hymn: Sing along with us: "He Comes to Us as One Unknown"
Listen to David and Jan sing Psalm 116 for today.
Hear a Children's Message from Ms. Susan.
Hear Heidi & Thor read today's scripture from Psalm 116, 1st Peter, and the Gospel of Luke.
Hear a message "at the table" from Pastor Steve.
Sing along with us for the Hymn of the Day, "Day of Arising"
Pray with us
Separated in our residences but united in God’s homecoming promise, let us pray that Jesus may walk behind, beside and beyond us bringing comfort and peace those for whom we pray: Walk with your Church accompany our bishops, pastor, teachers and congregation leaders. Break through all that clouds our vision that we may be messengers of your good news. Abide with all who suffer from the virus. Comfort all who die alone and sustain all who grieve alone. Give strength and safekeeping to medical staff, first responders and all who offer care. Empower those who are seeking a vaccine. Walk with us and open our eyes that we may give thanks for acts of kindness given and received for the air that is clearing for water flowing and soap cleansing for springtime and birds that awaken us in hope each new day Suffer the children, dear Jesus, that your abiding love may calm all they see and hear around them. Give patience to parents in this time of school closures. May your safekeeping hold all who are vulnerable. Have mercy on our broken nation. May government leaders humbly receive the guidance of your Holy Spirit, to work for the health and common good for all people. Let us pray for all in need of healing, especially with Ron and Terri Finner, Bonnie Judge, Sarah Flanigan, and all who are dear to us. Hold loved ones in hospice care. Let us pray for those who die alone. Refresh us with resurrection peace.
Go in the name of Father, Son+, and Holy Spirit.
Go forth with the Sending Hymn: "Alleluia! Sing to Jesus"
Listen to Allegro assai vivace - Sonata No. 1 from David Chamberlin

So nice to be able to "go to church" together with all of the collected members of ZELC, and celebrate with Alleluia

I long for the setting of our Church, our congregants , and our Pastor. All of you who bring the setting each Sunday are surly inspired by and blessed by our risen Lord. I feel closer to the Lord than I ever thought possible in this situation. You all do a wonderful job. Thanks be to you. Christ has risen indeed, alleluia.

My gratitude abounds for this complete service! God speaks to me in each segment. ...The photographs of our church awakens appreciation. for all the members that went before us and invested in spaces that we need as well as into beauty of the Windows and altar and also the organ that we continue to add more sounds. Thanks to the photographers and the techs who know how to use this media.

Thank you, Martha, for leading us in the stretch! I have missed that. I appreciated the message of hope in the sermon, and it helped me feel a sense of community to hear what everyone else is experiencing.
